Blah Blah Blah. There are all these hair tutorials and hairstyle pictures, but none that fit short hair for us short hair women. Hello, hair people of the world. Not all of us have the luxury, want or desire to have long, beautiful luscious waves. Instead, we’re a little more practical. Short hair is the way to go, and thanks to celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, it’s finally becoming a haute fashion look as well. It’s no longer a “boy cut”. Ugh. I hate those words. As if having short hair used to actually put you in that category. It’s ridiculous. Gone are those days though. Thank the hairy heavens of hair. Seriously. So for the ladies that are brave enough to rock some hair that is flowing like Rapunzel, this is totally for you. It’s all about short hairstyles because we shouldn’t be forgotten from this world. Plus, short hair doesn’t mean “Let it lay flat on your head” hair, which for some odd reason, so many people think it does. Short hair deserve to be styled, ladies. The problem is that you probably didn’t have the tutorials and information to go about short formal hairdos. Hence why I initially started writing this. So without further ado, ladies lacking the long luscious locks and thriving on the short and sweet world of hair.

For the super short twist and clip.
The shorter your hair, the harder it becomes in regards to creativity. You simply have fewer options because it’s too short to braid, too short to curl, too short to this and that and blah blah blah but let’s not focus on the things that you can’t do with short hair. That sounds dreadfully pessimistic, doesn’t it? Plus, you love your style so rock it! Skim over some pics of Miley Cyrus and opt for a little bit of shaving to create an edgier appeal to your look. Of course, that’s a rather long-term commitment so if you’re looking for a fashionable formal hairstyle for your short hair, just for the night, then opt for some twists and clips. Whether you twist and pull up to create a chunky spike, or twist back to create a pulled together formal look, you’ll have the formal short hairstyle, without the permanent commitment.
For the chin length, additions of the braid.
Having chin length hair will certainly expand the horizon for hairstyle creativity while still keeping your hair short. The easiest way to implement formality and style into your shorter haircut is with braids. Plus, they’re super trendy and so much easier to achieve. Braid your bangs back into a clip or opt for a fishtail, french or normal braid to illuminate your personality.

For the shoulder length, curl for pump… curly hair…
If you’re rocking shoulder length hair, you’re pushing the limits of short hair while still not being able to indulge in the long hair world of tutorials. Usually, the longer the hair the flatter it gets, so I always love when someone throws some fabulous loose curls in their short hair to add that oomph and volume every lady needs on a formal night such as prom.
